Today we had a great break in the weather with a 60+ degree day! Since Ryan loves being outside, all of us headed straight out after his nap. First we did a lap around the cul-de-sac on his trike - and of course, had to pick up a couple newspapers that had been delivered to the court (Ryan thought they looked lonely). Then, we moved on to the neighborhood playground. Upon arrival, Ryan quickly made his way up the stairs to the slide and went down - all by himself! It's not a small slide - and it made us realize how big he's gotten! That, and
seeing how far his legs stuck out of the baby swing...he's sure growing fast! I can't believe he'll be 18 months soon! He also made a friend at the playground. She's almost 3 years old and was leading the way. He's always gone for older women, so he was perfectly happy to follow her around.
Now for the P.U. Grandma and Grandpa Marino came over for a very fancy dinner of frozen pizza Wednesday night. Ryan had a grand time showing them all the new home improvements we've made since they were over and the herb garden that I'm growing in the living room. Since Ryan sadly isn't potty trained yet, he made his after dinner me
ss in his diaper. Even more sadly, he doesn't generally mind the smell...but this time, as Mom was reading a book to him, he reached up to his nose and held it. Guess he thought it was pretty smelly too! P.U.! We'll keep our fingers crossed and holding our breath (literally!) that this is the first step toward a potty trained baby :).
