Thanks to everyone who participated last night in our fourth annual Beer Madness tournament! It's a really fun evening of hanging out with you all, and the beer entries seem to get better every year! There were a lot of hard choices this year, and all but one beer received at least five votes. Once again, half of the bracket was in the "wheat or Belgian" category but this year welcomed an increasingly vocal minority supporting some strong ales. Will darker beers do even better next year in Beer Madness V?
The most impressive performances of the night were a Blonde and IPA home brewed by Patrick and Michelle. Both of these beers made our final four, besting some high quality professional competitors. Do you guys give brewery tours? :-)
At the end of the night a domestic beer won, continuing America's sweep of our tournament. This year the winner was Anheuser-Busch's Shock Top, and Emily won the trophy shot glasses. Congratulations!
Check out the full results here, and be on the lookout for some great entries for next year!
