A Business Trip to Hawaii
In August, I made the sacrifice for my office and attended a conference in Hawaii. It was my first trip to any of the islands - so my first taste was of Honolulu. I arrived Monday and left Thursday evening so I could be back in time for our vacation to Atlanta on Saturday morning (yes, the trip is long :)). I had some very productive conference days, but I also made time (late and early) to see the sites around Waikiki where I stayed. The weather was gorgeous while I was there, and I could definitely see why people find the area relaxing. Even the attitude of the rental clerk at Enterprise was far different from any other rental place I've gotten a car from ("We just check for dents or scratches that are larger than a baseball...that's the Hawaiian rule"). If you've been waiting all this time to be jealous of my pictures, I finally posted them here last night. There's so much that I didn't have time to do (like surf...there just wasn't enough daylight for me to attend a conference AND do that), and I have to take Eric back, so I'm looking forward to a return trip someday :).
