Ryan loves Christmas this year - he giggles at decorations, and I can't tell you how many times we've heard the Jingle Pals singing Jingle Bells this year! We were watching the Muppet Christmas special Friday afternoon, and Uma Thurman was in it. Eric, as he always does when he spots Ms. Thurman, announced "Uuuuummmmaaa", which was very quickly followed by a baby "uuummmaaa". That's right...the first word Ryan decided to repeat: Uma. Oy, he's such a boy!
Friday night, we decided to take him to Brian and Amy's White Christmas party where an intense game of Guesstures ensued. Ryan was enjoying all the commotion and watching everybody go take turns picking cards, putting them in the Guesstures game, and watching them charade away. Then it got to be Dad's turn, so he followed Dad up to the table and started picking out some cards and putting them in the Guesstures game...apparently thinking it was his turn. He was rather insulted to find out it wasn't his turn, but tried again at the next turn, only to find out it was Mom's turn! Poor guy never got a chance to act out his cards, despite how many times he tried! We were pretty impressed that he was paying enough attention to figure out what was going on and then imitate it. He stayed up until 12:15 without being at all cranky -definitely a new record, and didn't even want to leave!
Now go finish enjoying your hot chocolate in front of the tree because that's all for now folks!

Ryan Update: The Christmas Spirit
As you're all aware, we haven't been very good about sending Ryan updates out since we moved to our new place...so here are a few paragraphs to get you started, and we'll hopefully give you short, but more regular contributions here!
